TEHRAN -- The head of the 15th Children and Young Adults International Film Festival Hossein Pakdel said on Tuesday that the festival is to open in the historical city of Isfahan on October 14. Speaking to reporters, Pakdel underscored that the festival aims to collect and present the best works for children and young adults and prepare the ground for artists and audiences to exchange views.
He added that the festival comprises two main sections including international competition of feature films as well as competition of domestic and foreign video films.
He further noted that the jury of the festival comprises seven Iranian young adults and a number of professional cinematic experts who will evaluate the films screened at this festival. The head of the festival stressed that on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Iranian cinema, 100 Isfahani children will evaluate films in another section of the festival.
"Films, which for any reason cannot be screened in the competition section of the festival, will be screened in the out of competition section." As for the other sections of the festival, Pakdel referred to the "Review of Works of Abolfazl Jalili"; "Review of Works of Mohammadreza Aliqoli"; "A Day With Majid Majidi"; "Children of Five Continents"...
