TEHRAN The archaeologists of the Cultural Heritage Organization resumed excavations of the historic castle of Zahak, Hashtroud town in East Azarbaijan, said an official of the organization.
During the recent excavations, several architecture works dating back to the Parthian and Sassanid eras have been discovered, the official said, adding more works belonging to the two periods may be unearthed.
