TEHRAN Prostitution has been greatly spread in Kosovo by the presence of NATO forces in that country, the Belgrade-based daily Classyov Novosti reported on Monday.
The daily wrote that the number of brothels has rapidly increased following the stationing of NATO forces in Kosovo. A large number of young prostitutes from Moldavia, Romania, Poland and Czech Republic work at brothels, cafes and bars in Kosovo, which are mostly visited by the NATO forces, it added.
After Kosovo came under the control of the NATO forces in June, 1999, that country turned into a center of illegal arms trade, drug trafficking and prostitution, the daily pointed out.
