TEHRAN New managing directors of three free zones in the country were named here on Sunday.

Members of the High Council of Iran's Trade-Industrial Free Zones in a meeting chaired by President Mohammad Khatami here on Sunday morning unanimously ratified the appointments of three new managing directors for Kish, Qeshm and Chabahar free zones.

In its session, the High Council appointed Hossein Qassemi as the president of Board of Directors and managing director of Kish Free Zone. Qassemi previously served as the managing director of International Exhibitions Company.

Seyed Fakhreddin Anvar, former deputy minister of culture and Islamic guidance, was appointed as the president of Board of Directors and managing director of Qeshm Free Zone.

Mohammad-Taqi Salehi, vice-chancellor of the Iran University of Science and Technology, was also appointed as the president of Board of Directors and managing director of Chabahar Free Zone.
