Ministry Approves Regulations to Support Research Works on Palestine
The 6-point regulations have been formulated in an effort to provide a suitable ground for the development of the orientations toward courses in connection with demands and problems facing the Islamic world at higher education levels.
The introduction to the regulations says: "Given the high status of Palestine in the Islamic world and the significance of the overall study of the issue of Zionism in the contemporary world necessitates that research works and academic studies pay special attention to the topic."
According to the regulations financial support up to 20 million rials will be allocated to the postgraduate and Ph.D. thesis and research works relevant to the issue.
Meanwhile, the ministry announced that the amount will be increased on certain occasions and based on the judgment of the Palestine and university council.
A committee comprising five academicians and experts in the Middle East and Palestine issues will be in charge of the expert studies of the council and will evaluate the research work and theses.
However, research works and theses that have already received support of other organizations will not be entitled to the provisions of the regulations.
