Top Iranian Cleric Slams Intl. Support for Israel
"In today's world, we witness a sort of diabolic and dictatorial rule which is supporting the brutal Zionist regime," Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani told thousands of worshipers in his second sermon at the weekly Friday congregational prayer at the compounds of Tehran University.
He said that proper management is needed in the society to help the mankind achieve to its lofty goals.
The cleric reverted to domestic issues and felicitated the Iranian nation on the 22nd anniversary of the triumph in 1979 of the Islamic Revolution.
In his second sermon to worshippers, Ayatollah Emami Kashani also read excerpts, as reminders to officials, from the last will and testament of Imam Khomeini in which he enjoins administrators of state affairs to protect the trust of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic statehood after the Imam's death.
The ayatollah reminded that much had yet to be accomplished in the cultural aspects of the Islamic Revolution and to make the people develop even deeper and more affectionate feelings toward their revolution. He said the Islamic Republic has yet to attain true cultural and economic independence and had to march on in that direction in the face of the pressure of alternative un-Islamic options.
Iran on Wednesday began 10 days of national celebrations honoring the creation of the Islamic Republic, founded by Imam Khomeini.
