TEHRAN A Spanish professor said that religion is an important factor maintaining revolutionary spirit among Iranian people and the stability of the Islamic Revolution.

A professor of Persian and Arabic languages, Rodriguez made the remark while visiting Hosseinieh Jamaran here yesterday.

He said although some 12 years have passed from the late Imam Khomeini's demise, the Islamic Revolution is strong and the revolutionary eagerness exists among Iranian nation.

He praised Iranian people's kindness and hospitality. "In Iran, I do not feel I'm a stranger," he said.

The Spanish professor has come to Iran to attend Persian language courses in Tarbiat Moddares University of Tehran.
