TEHRAN -- President Mohammad Khatami in a message to Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad as-Sabah felicitated him, his government and the Kuwaiti people on the occasion of that country's national day.

Khatami hoped Tehran-Kuwait city ties would be further broadened in the light of mutual resolve to diversify bonds in all areas.
