Denmark, Iran Eager to Boost Bilateral Ties

TEHRAN -- Danish Foreign Minister Friis Arne Petersen, in a separate meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Euro-American Affairs Ali Ahani here on Wednesday, voiced his country's desire to enhance mutual ties with Iran in all spheres.

He also expressed satisfaction over his current visit to Tehran and the results so far of the 9th session of Iran-EU comprehensive talks which began here Tuesday, IRNA reported.

During the meeting, Ahani referred to the two sides' economic potentials and Iran's newly approved laws governing foreign investment, and urged expansion of economic relations and increase in joint investments.

Both sides also pointed to the need to boost cultural, research, political and parliamentary cooperation between the two sides as ways of increasing mutual understanding.
