Iran's First Children's Encyclopedia Published

TEHRAN - Iran's first encyclopedia for children and young adults has been published with the aim of familiarizing Iranian children and young adults with civilization, culture and science.
According to the Public Relations Office of the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (CIDCYA), the encyclopedia, which was compiled by the Children's Book Council, is a source book of scientific and technological information.
The 24-volume encyclopedia contains over 5000 essays, maps, illustrations, and color charts.
Seven volumes have been published so far. Over 250 experts in various fields are cooperating in the project.
The encyclopedia is being introduced by the Children's Book Council at CIDCYA's Cultural and Artistic Creations Center on the occasion of the International Children's Day Festival, which is being held from October 6-8. Forty organizations are participating.
