TEHRAN -- In the last match of the fifth week of Iran Pro League, Esteqlal of Tehran trounced the Bandar Anzali-based Malavan here Tuesday.

Playing in Takhti Stadium, southern Tehran, Esteqlal netted three times in the second half seeing off Malvan with a bitter 3-0 loss.

The blues' striker Akmad Mo'menzadeh scored in the 50th and 87th minutes and Faraz Fatemi found the back of the net in the 59th minute.

Winning 7 points, Esteqlal is now placed at the fifth place of table.

Sepahan is the leader with 13 points followed by Fajr-e Sepassi and Persepolis with 11 and 10 points respectively.
