Leader Urges Iraqi People to Stop Anarchy
In a message to the Iraqi people amid reports on anarchy in Iraq due to security vacuum, the Leader urged the Iraqis to help one another and not to give way for further bloodshed.
"Honor brotherhood, be kind to each other, enforce law and order and avoid lawlessness which is (haram) religiously forbidden," the Leader said.
The Leader extended his sympathy with the Iraqi people over the civilian casualties and carnage in Iraq as a result of heavy bombardment and missile strikes by the coalition forces.
"I call on you to heed advice of the religious leaders and those sympathetic with you to help restore law and order. The mosques are the best place where you can organize your national recovery and stop anarchy and chaos," the Leader said in his message to the Iraqi people.
"Once again, I extend condolence to you, the brave people of Iraq on the heart-rending humanitarian sufferings you have faced. I pray to Almighty God to bestow patience on you to tolerate loss of your families in the carnage," the message said.
The Leader called on the Iraqi people to help heal the wounds by fostering national solidarity and establish law and order.
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the Iraqi nation has lofty status in the Islamic civilization and extended his best wishes for success of the Iraqi nation and quick recovery of Iraq.
