The U.S. wants to “incite” Iranians and this must be rejected
NORTH CAROLINA - After a while a rational person begins to think Arabs, or at least Arab “leaders”, bar a handful of reasonably sane souls that includes Syria’s Assad and some others probably in Iraq and Lebanon, maybe in Kuwait and Qatar and even Yemen (it’s difficult to say, much less name names) are just flat stupid – especially when compared with most Iranians whatever their posture is towards the rule of Shia Muslim authorities in the Islamic Republic.

Manama’s dangerous assembly; Trump’s plot against Iran with the Arab NATO
TEHRAN - A security summit about formation of the Arab NATO, the Middle East Strategic Alliance (Mesa), ended on Sunday in Bahrain’s capital. Earlier last month, there was a summit on the Arab NATO in Kuwait, an initiative pushed by U.S. President Donald Trump to confront Iran in terms of political, economy and military affairs. However, the Manama summit took place in a much more serious way than was held in Kuwait as Secretary of Defense James Mattis personally led the summit.

Trump's 'Arab NATO' project is doomed
With the stated aim of containing “Iran’s malign behavior” and bringing “stability to the region,” the Trump administration has proposed a collective security pact tentatively known as “the Middle East Strategic Alliance” (MESA). The MESA would bring about the six countries from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) along with Egypt and Jordan together under the guise of “Arab NATO” to confront Iran.

Arab NATO is unlikely to succeed: Askari
TEHRAN – Professor Hossein Askari, an expert on Saudi Arabia who also teaches international business at the George Washington University, believes that if you look at the members of Arab NATO, “it is the ‘usual suspects’ of the Persian Gulf—Saudi Arabia and the UAE plus Saudi Arabia’s tag along that is Bahrain—plus the two mercenaries of the region—Egypt and Jordan whose military are at the service of anyone who can pay and who rely on financial handouts. It is not an effective grouping of countries. Instead it is a military mishmash supported by the United States and Israel.”

Saudi Arabia’s desperate alliance moves
TEHRAN – The establishment of security pacts and alliances among countries demands high levels of cooperation from its member to deal effectively with different threats. Saudi Arabia and Egypt, for instance, have called for an “Arab NATO” to “wipe terrorism from the face of the earth.” This proposed alliance already faces various internal and external challenges, for instance over the future of the Assad government in Syria and how to deal with conflicts in Libya and Yemen.
