Iranian Wins World Armies Taekwondo Glittering Gold

TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) – Iranian taekwondo player Youssef Karami Tuesday took a gold medal in the world armies event in Zagreb, Croatia.
Winning the coveted gold in the seventh weight category, Karami defeated players from Germany, Sri Lanka, and South Korea.
The silver went to South Korea and the players from Sri Lanka and Germany tied at No. 3.
In the fourth weight class, Omid Gholamzadeh of Iran, was knocked out of the event.
Gholamzadeh beat his Russian rival but he lost to the 2001 world champion from Azerbaijan Republic and was eliminated.
