TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) -- Director general of Research Office of the Martyrs Foundation said on Friday that his office is still active in the postwar era.

"We have compiled some information on Iranian martyrs in 500,000 pages to document the facts about them during the past seven years," Hojjatoleslam Mazani said. Referring to a plan tilted "Torch of Martyrdom," he said, "Under the plan my office has collected wills of more than 110,900 martyrs that are available for researchers and public use in our office." He emphasized on the commemoration of martyrs, adding, "To commemorate the martyrs we have gathered memories of 40,000 martyrs for use of posterity." "We try to document what have remained from martyrs. We promote students to choose thesis with the subjects relating to martyrs," he said, adding, "With the support of the Martyrs Foundation 67 studies have been carried out as well as 100 theses have been completed by students in various academic programs until now."

According to Mazani, an intranet is active in library of the office to in which 42,000 wills, 85,000 photos of martyrs, 414 minutes audio and visual products on martyrs, and 150,000 books with the subject of martyrdom are available.
