TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) -- Satirist Abolfazl Zarouei Nasrabadi believes that Iranian satirical works should be translated into different languages to introduce the capability of Iranian satire to the world.
“Satire is popular among Iranian people; our TV satirical items are rich and more meaningful than the ones broadcast on foreign channels,” Nasrabadi told the Mehr News Agency. Referring to the First International Satire Festival held on September 30-October 2 at Tehran’s Art Bureau, he added, “The festival created a mutual familiarity among foreign and Iranian satirists.”
“If such moves have their proper ways, they will be more efficient to introduce Iranian satires to the world,” Nasrabadi noted. Nasrabadi was the secretary of the First International Satire Festival whose winners received “Golden Masher.” SRM
