Encyclopedia of Iran’s Mythical, Epic and Historical Geography to Be Compiled
According to the Mehr News Agency, the encyclopedia is a reliable and useful source for researches and experts interested in the study of Iran’s mythical, epic, and historical geography.
Data for the encyclopedia will be collected next year by the experts of the Language and Dialect Research Center of the CHO.
The center’s plan is to present the encyclopedia in three volumes with a total of 3000 entries and in more than 4000 pages.
Zoroastrians’ holy book Avesta, Pahlavi’s textbooks, coins, and inscriptions from the pre-Islamic eras as well as the most valid and significant books of the post-Islamic eras are the main sources of information for compiling the encyclopedia.
Mythologists, linguists, specialists in historical geography, and experts in ancient culture and languages are the members cooperating vigorously with the center for data collection and compiling the encyclopedia of Iran’s mythical, epic, and historical geography.
