TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) –- Director Hassan Yekta-Panah is convinced that short movies are void of happiness.
Pointing to works submitted to the secretariat of Sony Young Moviemakers Festival, he said that happy movies are hardly seen among the works. He described the situation as worrying.
He also pointed out that the cinema of short movies is a good ground for young moviemakers to express their problems, while he warned about the increasing number of movies which depict bitterness with no creativity and asked officials to look into the issue.
“Variety of subject is of great importance in cinema, while screening documentaries and short movies can help encourage young moviemakers to produce more works with varied themes,” he said.
