MADRID (AFP) -- Spain have set up a friendly international with Morocco as part of their World Cup buildup, the Spanish Football Federation said Wednesday.

The match will be played in the eastern city of Elche on June 3, a week after another warm-up match against Russia and just six days before the German jamboree starts.

Spain had been seeking to organize a match for June 3 with African champions Egypt, who, despite lifting the African Cup of Nations, failed to qualify for the finals, as did Morocco.

In Germany, Spain's first-round rivals in Group H are Tunisia, Ukraine and Saudi Arabia.
