Italian Ambassador to Tehran Roberto Tuscano, who attended the session, said his country attaches paramount importance to expansion of ties with Iran in all fields, stressing the need for boosting mutual relations.
“Among the regional countries, Iran is of numerous economic potentials and has made major steps toward achieving economic growth in the recent years,” added the envoy.
Tuscano described Iran’s decision to join the World Trade Organization (WTO) as positive, saying the membership will pay the way for the country to make great economic developments.
He announced his country’s support for membership of Iran in the international organization.
On his part, Mohammad-Mehdi Behkish, the head of Iran-Italy Chamber of Commerce, said Italy is Iran’s first European trade partner and the Iranian traders attach great importance to it.
The current good level of Tehran-Rome relations will bring better conditions in the future, Behkish predicted.
