TEHRAN -- Islamic countries plan to establish a single bourse organization, and this development will allow the Tehran Stock Exchange Organization (TSEO) to take measures to become a large international entity, TSEO managing director Ali Salehabadi announced on Thursday.
The integration of stock markets across the world has provided the grounds for more profitability and absorption of capital since 2000, but Iran is not keeping pace with this process, Salehabadi added.
With more companies joining the stock exchange, this will increase the potential, and more foreign investors will be attracted, he explained.
To join the World Trade Organization, Iran must observe international standards on investment, and implementation of Article 44 of the Constitution will provide more investment security for foreigners.
