Syrian energy official calls for industrial cooperation with Iran
“Syrian economy is growing, and grounds are paved for trade and industrial cooperation with Iranian firms in the form of finance,” Khaled al-Ali said on the sideline of a visit paid on Monday to Azarab Company of Arak, in Markazi (Central) Province.
He described potentials of Azarab Company in the construction of equipment for refineries, cement factories, power plants plus oil and gas industries at high-level, noting, “Syria needs bilateral cooperation with Iran in these spheres.”
He added that his country has numerous demands for power industry, majority of which can be met through cooperation with Iran, especially with Azarab Company.
Azarab has previously manufactured two boilers for two refineries in Syria, he stated, adding, renovating two steam units at a refinery in Syria is currently underway by Iranian companies. Syrian official went on to say that certain Iranian firms such as Parsian are presently constructing 66 and 20-KV power stations in Syria. “Grounds are well=paved for the expansion of cooperation in this sector as well.”
Azarab Company of Arak is one of Iran’s parent industrial companies, which is active in designing, manufacturing, and installing pressurized tanks, steam generators, oil and gas equipment, and thermal generators. It is also active in the manufacturing of equipment for industries of cement, gypsum, mine, and oil-making.
