TEHRAN -- Japanese enthusiasts of Persian art and culture have found a chance to visit a collection of Iran’s pottery in Tokyo.

Entitled “The Beauty of Iranian Pottery”, the exhibition opened on March 9 at the Middle Eastern Culture Center.

Iranian Ambassador to Japan Mohsen Talaii attended the opening gala where the center’s director delivered a speech.

Okano Tomohiko appreciated the attendees, saying the organizers aim to introduce the Iranian civilization to the world.

The center annually holds such events, Okano added. “This is the second time that ancient Iranian artworks are displayed at the venue.”

The collection, dating back to over 5,000 years ago, features items which have been unearthed by archaeologists during excavations in various historical Iranian provinces like Kermanshah, Lorestan, and Kurdestan.

The two-month exhibition has been welcomed by the visitors.

The items have been also published in a beautiful magazine that is offered to the visitors.
