TEHRAN -- “Recite This Chapter with Me” suite symphony conducted by Majid Entezami, has had a warm reception from its audiences.

The composition narrates the epic of the Iran-Iraq war (1980-1988) from a new perspective. Performances are being held at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall from September 22 until 28 concurrently with Sacred Defense Week.
Entezami intended to introduce innovative features in this event but it has not been possible due to the limited size of Vahdat Hall.
One of the sections of the symphony narrates the story of the liberation of Khorramshahr in rhythmic movements and this has been greatly enjoyed by the audiences.
The suite symphony concludes with the Sacrifice Symphony, Entezami’s most recent work, and the veteran actress Mahtab Nasirpur performs a monologue written by Mohammad Rahmanian as an accompaniment to the piece.
The 95-minute symphony consists of 5 movements performed without a break. The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance together with its music and poetry office.
