The decision was made following the request of the family of Mohammad Nuri, former managing director of the complex, who died last year.
Nuri, one of the founders and designers of the complex, had worked in the plant for eight years.
The complex was renamed as a gesture of appreciation for all the efforts Nuri had made during the past years.
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, Iran’s ministers of petroleum, energy, foreign affairs, and industries and mines as well as Petroleum Ministry’s senior managers, officials of Bushehr Province, and the high-ranking Venezuelan delegation were also present in the opening ceremony.
