TEHRAN -- Iranian artist Saeid Rajabi has won the Reina Sofia award at the 74th Salon de Otono exhibit held in Museo Casa de la Moneda in Madrid, the Persian service of IRNA reported on Sunday.
Almost 200 artists from different countries who are resident in Spain displayed their works in this exhibit which opened on October 16 and will run until November 11.Commenting on his artwork, Rajabi said that his technique is unique in that the visual angle of his cityscapes is mobile, that is, attention is paid to a number of angles in each work, whereas other artists concentrate on only one stable perspective in their paintings.
Rajabi has a Ph.D. in fine arts from the University of Madrid. His style of painting is in the genre of realism, focusing on cityscapes, especially those depicting the city of Madrid where he is currently living.
Rajabi’s painting career spans 30 years and he has displayed his works in more than 50 exhibitions in Iran
