Tehran municipality prepared to help Baghdad in re-building the city.

TEHRAN, Feb. 23 (MNA) -- Tehran municipality is prepared to cooperate with Baghdad municipality in reconstructing the war-torn city, Tehran Mayor, Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf said on Saturday.

In a meeting with the Baghdad Mayor, Sabir al-Isawi, the visiting Iranian official said that because of religious and cultural affinities, Iranian people and officials are highly motivated to help the Iraqi officials in re-building Iraq.
The mayor expressed his country’s desire to cooperate with Iranian companies and experts to reconstruct Iraq, taking advantage of their knowledge and experience.
Priorities outlined to the Iranians include the building of highways and intra- and inter-city roads, he added.
“We also need to use Iran’s experiences in the areas of ecological development and sanitation services.”
