Iran’s Soren sedan to appear on Turkey’s roads

ANKARA – Iran’s economic attaché to Turkey announced here that Turkey has issued the permit for the import of 10,000 Soren sedans.
Talking to IRNA, Ahmad Nurani announced that Soren is the second Iranian-made sedan to hit Turkey’s car market.He said that it took the country eight months to receive the permit of importing the initial 10,000-sedan consignment, while countries like India and China have been trying for more than five years to obtain such a permit.
Prior to this, the managing director of Iran Khodro announced that Iran is scheduled to start export of the latest model of its home-manufactured passenger car 'Samand Soren' to 32 different countries.
Manuchehr Manteqi reminded that these countries are among customers of Iran-Khodro, which have imported Samand LX and GLX before.
Iran-Khodro has plans to export 600,000 cars and USD10 billion worth of products by 2016.
Soren is the latest model of Samand sedan which is designed for foreign and domestic markets, the official elaborated.
Global Positioning System (GPS), multimedia system, front seat airbag, fully automatic seats, automatic transmission, and automatic ventilation are among some of the optional systems that could be used in the car.
The sedan also enjoys European ECE94 safety (crash) standards
