ZURICH (Reuters) - Swiss-based refiner Petroplus expects its BRC refinery in Antwerp to be back to full operation again by the end of July after it was partly damaged by a fire earlier in the week.

The assessment of the damage was still on going after a fire broke out on June 9 at the 110,000 barrels per day BRC refinery’s visbreaker unit which processes heavy fuel oils.
Petroplus said it did not expect the cash costs for repairs to be more than $2 million.
The refinery suspended all crude distillation, which will be back up and running within a few weeks, Petroplus said.
BRC still produces gas oil, heating oil and gasoline components at its unaffected units, which include the naphtha and distillate hydrotreaters, the catalytic reformer, the isomerization unit and the LPG Recovery unit, Petroplus said.
The refinery is one of seven that Petroplus operates in Europe and specialises in low-sulphur light and middle distillates, including gasoline, naphtha, ULSD, heating oil and vacuum gas oil.
