Introduction ----- The area is located in southwest Iran around Dehluran oil field nearby Iraqi border where western limit of the block is proposed. The areal extends 3,500 sq km with clokwise geographical co-ordination of (E 47o, 29' N 32o, 17'), (E 47o, of (E 47o, 29' N 32o, 17'), (E 47o, of (E 47o, 29' N 32o, 17'), (E 47o, of (E 47o, 29' N 32o, 17'), (E 47o, of (E 47o, 29' N 32o, 17'), (E 47o, of (E 47o, 29' N 32o, 17'), (E 47o, of (E 47o, 29' N 32o, 17'), (E 47o, of Climate of the area can be classified as arid with 250 mm of rainfall per annum, maximum and minimum average temperatures are 45oC and 0oC respectively.
Black top roads, power lines, telephone lines network h Geological Setting Based on sequence stratigraphy at least eight Megasequences have been established throughout Zagros basin, each of which represents a major tectonic event and bounded by unconformities. Within each megasequence there are smaller units such as sequences Structural Frame Work From northeast to southwest Zagros could be divided into 3 major parts as the Main Thrust and crush zone, Thrust Belt and Folded Belt. Folded Belt might be subdivided into Izeh zone, Lurestan Salient, Dezful Embayment, Fars Salient, Bandar Abbas Hinterla Hydrocarbon Potentials Source Rock, Silurian shales assumed to be the source rock for Dehram group.
Sargelo limestone and shales is a possible source for itself due to effective presence of Gotnia evaporites. Neocomian - Aptian Garau shale accepted as a source rock for Mid Cre Reservoir Rocks, almost all Zagros reservoirs carbonates generally with low matrix porosity and fractures provide permeability and additional porosity. Dehram carbonate group of (Permo-Triassic) contains dry gas with N, C02 and H2S impurities; eg, Kabir Available Data Geological maps in different scales, Spot Satellite photos in 1:50,000 scale, more than 500 km of 2D seismic processed and available for reprocessing.
Well data such as graphic well logs, electric logs, well completion reports of surrounding fields are a Previous Exploration Results As a result of exploration activities in the last thirty years Dehluran oil field, Paydar oil field Paydar west oil field, Danan oil field with total oil in place of 11.2 BSTB in Asmari and Bangestan, show low risk of exploration.
There are two seismic s Minimum Expected Exploration Scope of Work 1- 500 km of seismic reprocessing 2- Acquisition of 500 km 2D and 1,000 km2 3D and their processing 3- Exploration drilling of at least 4 wells to test Asmari, Bangestan and Khami in the low land and Dehram in Anaran anticline.
