Iran-Tajikistan trade mounting: envoy

DUSHANBE – Iran’s ambassador to Tajikistan stated here on Wednesday that Tehran-Dushanbe trade value in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 20, 2008) has increased by about 3.5 folds compared with the corresponding figure of the same period in 2007.

IRNA quoted Ali Asghar Sherdoost as saying that the Iran-Tajikistan annual trade value has reached an average of $160 million in recent years.
“Iranian private and state-run bodies have several projects in hand in Tajikistan in various fields of industry, agriculture, animal farming, road building, dam construction, and mining,” he noted
