Pirnias' Old House, Anthropology Museum of Naein Desert

Part 17 Pirnias' old house, a masterpiece of the Iranian architecture in Naein, Isfahan Province, was the residence of Pirnia great family at the time of Safavid Dynasty. The traditional architecture of the house, is infused with genuine characteristics of Iranian architecture in desert areas including entrance corridor, rooms with three doors and closet, balcony, traditional kitchen, garden and basement. Glorious paintings, plaster mouldings and vaulted roofs have turned Pirnias' house to a magnificent historical monument.
The house was registered by the Cultural Heritage Organization (CHO) as a national monument in 1970. With cooperation of the Cultural Heritage Organization and under the management of Isfahan Province General Department of Cultural Heritage, Pirnias' house was repaired and some of its parts were reconstructed. Finally in 1994, the house was inaugurated by the head of CHO, M. Kazerooni as the Anthropology Museum of Naein Desert. The museum comprises different parts including permanent and seasonal photo, book and handicraft exhibitions.
It is open to public every day except Mondays.
