Iran, Azerbaijan ink transport cooperation MOU

TEHRAN – Iran and Azerbaijan signed a memorandum of understanding on road transport cooperation on Tuesday in a meeting of the Baku-Tehran Joint Roads Transportation Commission held for two days rotationally in Iran and Azerbaijan.

An official of the Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization Saeed Abdollahi said the two sides agreed to reduce duties, facilitate vehicle transport, review drivers’ problems when passing the border, stop old buses from traveling between the two countries, and use of valid insurance policies.
He added that Iran and Azerbaijan transport organization managing directors and officials from customs administrations attended the meeting, IRNA reported
