NOWSHAHR, Mazandaran Prov. Some Rls.660 billion has been allocated to construction of 6,000 km of roads throughout the country in the current year, began March 21, it was announced here Friday evening. The remark was made by Deputy Road and Transport Minister in Charge of Construction and Development of Roads, Mohammad Jafar Bahrami while inspecting construction operation of Rasht-Gorgan road. 1,000 km of road which are now under construction will become operational by March 20, 1999, he added.

On construction of Rasht-Gorgan road, he said that 45 percent of the project has been completed and the project will use up a total of 65 billion rials, he added. (IRNA)
