Hegemonic powers angry at emerging nations: commander

TEHRAN – Global hegemonic powers are furious that the emerging nations have been able to “impose their will” on great powers, says Ahmad Miqani, commander of the Khatam-ol-Anbia air defense system.

The general was indirectly referring to the nuclear pact signed between Iran, Turkey and Brazil, known as the Tehran Declaration, according to which Iran will send 1200 kg of its enriched uranium stocks to Turkey in exchange for fuel rods for a medical research reactor in Tehran.
“Leaders of the global hegemony are angry at the formation of multi-polar global system and we should prepare ourselves to counter their threats,” Miqani said on Sunday.
In their view, Iran poses a serious challenge to the establishment of an unjust system in the Middle East, so they are very angry and are trying to obstruct a settlement of Iran’s nuclear issue based on the Tehran Declaration, he said.
The former Air Force commander went on to say that the hegemonic powers’ threats are serious and the Iranian military should always be prepared not to allow them to find the “audacity” to launch any attack on Iran.
