Iran 9th in Asian Junior Athletics Championship

Iran finished in ninth place at the 14th Asian Junior Athletics Championship held in Hanoi, Vietnam from July 1 to 4.

Iran grabbed two gold medals, two silvers and three bronzes in the event. China emerged as the overall champion and won 11 gold medals, 10 silvers and five bronzes.
Kazakhstan finished as the runner-up with 5 gold medals, two silvers and one bronze. Japan came third bagging four gold medals, nine silvers and nine bronzes. The event ended with four new records
