Healthcare Center Set Up in Khuzestan With UNICEF Contribution

AHVAZ A rural healthcare center was put into operation Wednesday in the town of Baghmalek, Khuzestan province in south of Iran, with the contribution of the United Nations International Children's Fund (UNICF). The center is built on an area of 1,100 square meters, with 4,500 square meters establishments, at a cost of Rls 850 million out of the UNICF fund allocated to development projects.

The center has capacity to render healthcare services to a population of over 10,000 in the deprived Roudriz rural area. It is equipped with preventive, pediatrics and gynecology, vaccination, family planning and environment sanitation sections. (IRNA)
