Iran heads to Russia for Freestyle Wrestling World Cup

TEHRAN - Iran wrestling team left Tehran for the capital of Russia’s Dagestan Republic, Makhachkala, on Tuesday to take part in the 2011 Freestyle World Cup.
“Iran will participate in the competition with a fully prepared team. Our wrestlers are psychologically and physically ready and strong,” Iran coach Mohsen Kaveh said.The deputy director of Russia's Federation of Sporting Wrestling Georgy Bryusov said the championship will bring a total of 10 countries together.
Participant teams are Russia (host), Iran, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Cuba, Ukraine, Hungary, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan.
The winners will receive $150,000 in cash, RIA Novosti news agency reported.
