TEHRAN - The health minister says Iran’s share of the world’s 200 billion dollar market in medical equipment is 2 billion dollars (about .01%) that is a balanced figure concerning Iran’s population.

The 2 billion dollar share may seem to be balanced in regard to the country’s population “but when we look at the statistics about the imports and exports we see that it is not ideal,” Marzyeh Dastjerdi said during the opening ceremony of the international exhibition of medical equipment on Monday at the permanent place of international fairs.
Elsewhere in her talks the health minister assessed the medicinal industry as ideal and said 96% of medicines are produced in Iran and 70% of the primary materials are also being supplied at home
