TEHRAN -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has said that the resistance of the Iranian nation against tyranny and hegemony planted the seeds of hope in the hearts of the nations which have risen up against their dictatorial governments.

The Leader made the remarks during a meeting with a large crowd of eulogists and preachers in Tehran on Tuesday on the auspicious birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatima (SA), the daughter of Prophet Muhammad (S), which is both Women’s Day and Mother’s Day in Iran.
“We do not want to be proud of ourselves and say that these nations learned from us. This is not the case. No country learned from us, but it was the resistance of our nation which planted the seeds of hope in the hearts of the nations,” the Leader observed.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he stated that no power in the world would be able to create a roadblock in the way of the revolutionary movement of the Iranian nation if strong steps are taken in the country.
The Leader also expressed satisfaction that no deviation has occurred in the Iranian nation’s movement toward the realization of the causes of the Islamic Revolution.
