TEHRAN – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has said that the United States and the Zionist regime are fearful of the fact that the Islamic system of Iran is serving as a model for the popular movements in the region.

The Leader made the remarks on Monday in a meeting with a large number of IRGC commanders and officials.
“The U.S. and the Zionist regime are frightened of the fact that the Islamic system has become a model for the regional people,” he stated.
“They cannot change the realities on the ground no matter how they try to deny this fact and the Islamic orientation of regional people through their propaganda machine and media outlets,” he stated.
The Leader described the ongoing developments in the region and the world as unprecedented and said people with “monotheistic and divine” orientations have entered the scene and turned a new page in history.
He added that the new wave of Islamic awakening which began in the region will reach extra-regional countries in the near future.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader pointed to the disagreements between officials and said that the Islamic system’s institutions and groups should be careful not to fan the flames of disputes and create a commotion about internal disagreements.
“We should try to reduce disagreements and differences of opinion as much as possible,” he said, adding that all political groups should feel bound to maintain national unity.
He went on to say, “Don’t they, who add fuel to the flames, see the foreign media outlets’ happiness and analyses?”
“It shows that it is a weak point, so we should prevent the continuation (of the current trend),” he said.
