TEHRAN – The Majlis Islamic Awakening Faction, headed by Deputy Majlis Speaker Shahabeddin Sadr, announced its establishment on Wednesday.

MP Ali Tahery commented on the objectives of the faction, saying, “The faction will practice moderation and avoid extremism.”
Over 160 MPs are members to the faction.
