TEHRAN – The Iranian parliament plans to present a triple-urgency bill (the highest degree of urgency), which will require the government to suspend nuclear talks with the 5+1 group of world powers if the U.S. continues to make threatening language against Tehran, the Fars news agency reported on Saturday.

“Based on this single-article bill, the government will be required to stop the negotiations until the Americans apologize to the Islamic Republic of Iran and end their threats,” Javad Karimi Qoddousi told Fars.

“The plan will be signed by the legislators and presented to the Majlis Presiding Board tomorrow [Sunday],” said Qoddousi who sits on the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee.

He said the Iranian MPs will not allow the superpowers to violate the rights of the Iranian nation or keep the nation under threat.

In an effort to appease Israel, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said recently that military action is still among possible options against Iran.

On Wednesday, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution dismissed the U.S. war rhetoric as empty and boastful. However, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Iran would not negotiate under threat.

“This is not acceptable that the opposite side continues making threats simultaneous with the talks,” the Leader noted.
