Iran wins Asian Men's U23 Volleyball championship

Team Iran swept past South Korea on Wednesday in straight sets 25-16, 25-21, 25-21 to win the 2015 Asian Men's U23 Volleyball Championship.

Iran and South Korea had already booked their places in the 2015 Men's U23 World Championship which will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

In the third-place playoff, Chinese Taipei beat China 3-1 (27-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-23).

Iran captain Pouria Fayazi was selected the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

Chinese Taipei finished in third place after defeating China 3-1 (27-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-23).

The 2015 Asian Men's U23 Volleyball Championship held in Naypyidaw, Myanmar from 12 to 20 May 2015.

It was the inaugural edition of the tournament and served as the Asian qualifier for the 2015 Men's U23 World Championship to be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
