TEHRAN - Of each 100 male graduates 13 people are unemployed, the Iranian deputy labor minister says.

According to Koorosh Parand, the unemployment rate among educated women is much worse than men, with 31 out of 100 going without job.
Right now, 18.9 percent of the country’s unemployed population are university graduates and the number is going to hit 40 in the near future, he said, the Mehr news agency reported on Saturday.

Lately there have been warnings that 4.5 million university students are going to graduate soon and concerns are rising over their employment.

Parand added that the worst-hit majors in terms of unemployment are computer sciences and agriculture with unemployment rates of 27.2 and 27 percent among graduates respectively.
