Iran’s Mahdizadeh wins gold medal at AKF Senior Karatedo Championships

Amir Mahdizadeh from Iran claimed a gold medal at the 13th AKF Senior Karatedo Championships after defeating Chung-Chiang Liu from Chinese Taipei.

Bronze medal went to Japan’s Shintaro Araga and Chun Ho Lee from Hong Kong in the male’s -60kg weight category.
Saeid Ahmadi seized a silver medal in the male’s -67kg and Sahar Karaji won a silver medal in the female’s -50kg.

The 13th Yokohama Karate Championship began on Friday in Japan's Yokohama City with 285 athletes from 33 countries and will continue until Sunday.
