TEHRAN - The German foreign minister has said the message of his trip to Iran is seriousness in removing international sanctions on the Islamic Republic.

Frank-Walter Steinmeier made the remarks in an interview with Iran daily published on Saturday.
“Since Iran has met all its obligations of the 2013 Geneva agreement so far, we have nothing to complain about,” he said.

Steinmeier said he expects the sanctions to be removed in the first 2-3 months of 2016.

The Vienna nuclear agreement will be put to practice on October 18 and the European Union will try to prepare the ground for the removal of the sanctions, the German diplomat asserted.
