192 companies attending Iran ConMin expo

TEHRAN- The 11th international exhibition on construction, mining, and related machinery (Iran ConMin 2015) is hosting 192 companies.
The exhibit kicked off yesterday at the Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds and will wrap up on October 20, according to the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).The event is attended by 90 Iranian companies and also 102 firms from 11 countries.
Companies from Germany, Spain, Austria, the United Arab Emirates, Italy, China, Taiwan, Turkey, South Korea, Egypt and India are showcasing their latest products and achievements in the exhibit.
It is among the rare exhibitions in Iran in which the number of foreign participants is more than the Iranian ones.
Also, 11 training workshops are being held on the sidelines of the exhibit.
There is a high demand for foreign investment in Iran’s mining projects, so that many multinational companies have put in their investment requests, according to Iranian Deputy Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister Mehdi Karbasian.
Companies from Germany, Spain, Denmark, Belgium, England, France, Switzerland, Canada, South Korea, India, Kazakhstan, Oman, and Kuwait have so far requested for making investment in the Iranian mining projects, Karbasian, who is also the director of the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization, known as IMIDRO, said in May.
