TEHRAN- According to statistic released by the Iranian Forensic Medicine Organization, 584 people (508 males and 76 females) have drowned over the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year, which started on March 21, 2015.

The figure shows a 10.6 percent decrease compared to the same period last year.

Mazandaran province with 106 victims, Khuzestan province with 86, and Gilan province with 54, had the highest death tolls, respectively.
