TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi announced on Wednesday that United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon can visit Iran’s nuclear facilities if he wishes.

 

Ban arrived in Tehran yesterday to attend the meetings of the heads of state and government of the Non-Aligned Movement, which open today and close tomorrow. 

 

“We have provided the guests several options. They can visit the country’s important cities, such as Isfahan, Tabriz, (and) Shiraz or… industrial centers, including (those in) Asaluyeh or car manufacturing companies, scientific centers or research centers, such as (those affiliated with) the Atomic Energy Organization (of Iran). Anyone who is interested can register, and we will take measures in this regard,” Salehi stated. 

 

“If Ban Ki-moon too wishes, he can visit nuclear facilities. The president has given permission so that he can make such a visit,” he added.
